Dr. Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Team Leader

 

Dr. Ghaus-Pasha has twenty-three years experience in teaching, undertaking research and consulting assignments in social policy and development, governance, public finance and urban and regional economics and in advocacy work on social and economic issues. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She has served as the Deputy/Acting Managing Director of the Social Policy and Development Centre, Karachi, Pakistan, a non-governmental think tank. Dr. Ghaus has been a member of several Task Forces, Committees and Commissions on public finance, social sectors, poverty alleviation and institutional reforms constituted by Governments in Pakistan.

 

She has represented NGO’s on the management boards of a number of important organizations like the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund. She has undertaken consulting assignments for a number of international multilateral and bilateral agencies like UNICEF, UNDP, The World Bank, The Asian Development Bank, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). She has published over 75 books, journal articles and reports.

 

Mr. Wasim Saleem, Research Associate

 

Wasim Saleem completed M. Phil in Business Economics at BNU, Lahore in 2012 and awarded a gold medal. During his degree he mustered in quantitative and qualitative skills. To bring academic rigor in his research, he is also involved in teaching quantitative methods at BNU, Lahore. All these skills and his work at IPP enabled him to think clearly and logically. He is responsible, motivated and meticulous young researcher who feels pride in his work.

 

Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Research Assistant

 

Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad holds M. Phil degree in Business Economics from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore and B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Accounting and Finance from Government College University Lahore.
 

His expertise and areas of research interest lie in Development Economics, Econometrics, & International Trade. His job description includes conducting research, gathering data, and estimating and analysing econometric models using software packages.

 

Ms. Atr-un-Nisa, Research Assistant

 

Ms. Nisa holds M.Phil in degree in Business Economics from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore and a B. Sc (Hons) in Economics from Lahore College for Women University, Lahore.


She is working as a Research Assistant at IPP. Her job description includes conducting research, gathering data and analyzing it using econometric models and other satisfaction tools. She also undertakes the responsibilities of writing and editing material for publications and presentations

 

Mr. Hassan Farooq, Research Assistant

 

Mr. Hassan is currently doing his Executive MBA in Finance and Marketing from Lahore School of Economics (LSE), Lahore. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.


His job description includes conducting research, gathering data and analyzing it using econometric models and other satisfaction tools. He also undertakes the responsibilities of writing and editing materials for publications and presentations.
